My beautiful new website is in progress, so for now I just wanted to let you know that I can begin taking reservations after May 22nd for stays after July 1st, which is my current re-opening date.
COVID-19 is changing the game for everyone, so please read below to find out what will be changing (and what will be staying the same) at the Green River Bridge House!
What is Changing:
Breakfast will no longer be served from the GRBH kitchen, instead I have partnered with my friends down at the Guilford Country Store, and each room will receive a gift certificate (one for each morning of their stay) to go down to the store and pick up breakfast there. (If you are not a breakfast person anyway, feel free to go back later and pick up some sandwiches and beer and wine!)
No one will enter your room during your stay! Housekeeping will be done between guests only, and for that reason, I will be requiring a minimum 2 day stay, and will be open only from Thursday through Sunday each week. Weekly stays without housekeeping are also available.
Of course, extra linens and toiletries will be available upon request and each room will have its own sanitizing supplies
Surfaces in the common spaces in the main part of the house will be routinely sanitized throughout the day.
Each private room will be equipped with a refrigerator/freezer and a coffee maker setup.
Although there will be staff onsite and immediately available by phone, check in will be as follows:
In the main house, each of the 2 rooms will be given a digital code rather than a key to enter the building (each guest will have their own code). Inside, you will find your room key and instructions. The Innkeeper will welcome you via phone and will be available by phone, email or text. Check in time remains between 3pm and 7pm or earlier if the room is ready! Checkout will remain at 11am on the day of your departure.
What is Staying the Same:
Gorgeous gardens and riverfront walks
Swimming in the river by the crib dam
Picturesque back roads to explore on bike
Romantic hydrangea-lined strolls
Just 8 miles from town and many scrumptious to-go options
I am still here! I have been welcoming guests into my home since 2001, and even though I will not be able to be physically near you, my guests, I remain available from a small distance and ready to answer your questions and provide suggestions for what to do and see in the area.
Please like my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/GreenRiverBridgeHouse/), add me on Instagram (@greenriverbridgehouse), or follow me on Twitter (@grbridgehouse) to be informed about what is going on down here by the River!
Green River Bridge House - Bed & Breakfast
Built in 1830, this charming B&B once housed the Green River Post Office and is nestled against the meandering river that gave it its name. It is luxurious in comfort and sensuous in visual appeal. Every room is a warm embrace of soft colors, fine antiques and other unique furnishings. It is also adjacent to one of the most beautiful covered bridges in Guilford, Vermont.
